Life Is Hectic

Life is so busy these days, between taking care of my website including this directory, and my ebay stuff, I don’t have much time left. I only have a few hours during the day to get things done. I want to keep this directory. I need to make time to convert this to a better system, because it’s old and needs updating. Sure I have this theme going on, but as you can see I haven’t integrated that well. If anyone has any suggestions it would be so very much appreciated. Closing is not an option

I just updated the version of wordpress and also some plugins. So if I can get to actually working on this site it would be really great. I have so many dead links its not even funny. And being the only one doing this, just don’t cut it. The amount of submissions have dropped, I don’t know why, I know the form is working, I will have to check on all browsers. Well wish me luck, I’m tired today, did a lot of laundry the weather didn’t help make things easy. I’m tired and I still have clothing to fold, so I best get to that. I don’t think I’ll do anything else today, but finish this post. Will someone make me a theme that will integrate with a good listing script, that would be a dream come true hehe. Anyway have a good weekend everyone.

Been Backed Up

I have been so backed up it’s not even funny. I just recently moved, so trying to sort that out again!! And trying to stay on top with all my website has made this website suffer, although the forms are working, I will still be adding people, I have to say there are a lot of dead links on the database. I am going to try my hardest, to convert to a better script, because I feel I need to. I am hoping that will help maintain the website even better. I really hope this works. It’s been impossible to convert from simpledir to wordpress, well not really convert, more like integrate. As I don’t know much about wordpress unfortunately. So that conversion is obviously going to take ages I’m sorry to say. But it does not mean the website is not functioning. I can still add website, and edit submission the same as before, nothing has changed on that. My lack of staff is another thing. I have had a few submissions trickle in but with all the commotion in my personal life, it has made it impossible for me to put them to work. I feel horrible about that, but rest assure that the website will continue to function. Thank you all for your patience, and please keep submitting. I will clean this place up, at least the dead links. And if you have submitted to work here, please email me again so that I know you are still interested, I am desperately in need of help. If anyone knows of a better way to clean up the dead links please let me know, like a dead link checker, send me an email using my form on the website, and I will look into it. Anyway that can help is very much appreciated, thank you all, and have a good weekend.

Keeping Up

I just updated the pending submissions, but I still have a lot to do with the dead links. I am still looking for staff, that is needed badly because there is a lot of links that need removing. So if you read this, and are interested, it would be great if you submitted to be part of the staff. The removing of dead links is a big task and I am trying to get to all of that, I have a lot going on in my own personal life, but I at least want to get the pending which I’m happy that I did get that done. Now on to removing what needs to be removed and looking for staff. Have a great day!

WP Upgrade

Another one, they seem to come frequently which is good, means they are on their toes. I added a new affiliate today, please visit GM Directory when you get a chance, and list yourself there. I’m still working on things, but pending links are less than 5 now which is good, gives me time to work on the dead links. That and fix some parts of the website that need it. I don’t know how to really integrate the script I have with wordpress, so I just do what I can. I am considering switching to another script, but I’m worried of losing information, I know if I back up I won’t but I don’t like down time on my site. But I may have to take a day to do it, I’m sure I can do it in a day. That’s all for now.

New Buttons

I added a set of new buttons to match layout, still working on cleaning up the dead links. I’m going to be adding a new staff member, and I’m still looking for more. Still have stuff to fix on the layout, bare with me, but continue submitting your websites.
